Researchers have recently discovered that Asparagopsis taxiformis is algae that greatly reduce methane emissions from livestock when added to their diet. It’s a potent natural anti-methanogenic.

Cows are responsible for about 20% of global warming. This discovery can really be helpful to the environment as 30% of the Earth’s land surface is used for raising livestock. Source

Methane is the third most abundant Greenhouse gas after Water Vapor and Carbon Dioxide. We can’t stop global warming but we can at least reduce the rate of it and this discovery does exactly that.
