With the E3 2015 (Electronics Entertainment Expo) around the corner, we showcase the top 3 titles from E3 2014 that still haven’t been released, and people cannot wait any longer for it.
Starting from the bottom, at number 3 spot, we have,
3 – Tom Clancy’s – The Division
In one of Ubisoft’s latest adventure, we must battle against a disease that’s taking over the United States of America, city by city. Ubisoft announced the game at its E3 2013 press conference, and we have the trailer and gameplay ready to share.
The Division’s Storyline
The Division is based on real life events, Operation Dark Winter and Directive 51. On Black Friday (the Friday after Thanksgiving Day), a disease has spread and wiped out the entire US government of its necessities. Without any food, water or electricity, the city is in chaos.
Later it is discovered that the disease is getting transmitted and spreading the germs on bank notes. As a result, the president gives us, the protagonist, a member of the Strategic Homeland Division (SHD), or “The Division,” the authority to do whatever it takes to help bring the city back together.
The Division’s Gameplay
On number 2 spot we have the world’s greatest detective, Batman.
2 – Arkham Knight
It’s almost time. One of the most awaited games of 2015 is just around the corner. Somehow developers Warner Bros. Games Montreal didn’t do a well enough job in making Arkham Origins (2013). Maybe that’s why Rocksteady Studios returned to the development of the Arkham series finale with fan favorite, Kevin Conroy.
Arkham Knight Storyline
Arkham Knight is the sequel to Arkham City (2011). One of the biggest misconceptions of this game is that Arkham Knight is the Batman, Well, he’s not. Only a few details have been revealed in the trailer. The main antagonist, Arkham Knight, appears to be in an armor suit and well equipped with the armory. He is joined by other crooks and villains like Scarecrow, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and the Penguin. Batman has been given access to the Batmobile. We can now traverse the Gotham city and use this piece of art in fighting off battles and solving crimes.
Arkham Knight Gameplay
A PlayStation exclusive version offers a Nightmare campaign against Scarecrow, playable along with the main campaign mode. The Caped Crusader must join hands with James Gordon and Oracle to save his city.
Before we head down to our top pick of the E3 2014, let’s see some honorable mentions.
No Man’s Sky
Rise of Tomb Raider
Mortal Kombat X
Halo 5: Guardians
Metal Gear Solid 5
1 – Uncharted 4 – A thief’s end
Was it even a surprise? Naughty Dog has made a name for themselves now. In the PlayStation 3 all time greats, Uncharted 3, Uncharted 2 and The Last of Us always end up in the top 10. Be it any list, of anyone’s opinions. I, for one, don’t think anyone else would disagree with me.
Uncharted 4 Storyline
Time to grab up some tissues. The trailer suggests this is the last action packed adventure of our beloved Drake (Nathan). The game is set years after the events of Uncharted 3. We can see the aging character in this trailer. Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan who has served Drake more like a father-type character is only heard in a conversation with Nate in his memory. This raises a lot of questions, like, is he still alive? Where is Nate? And are those corpses hanging from the top towards the end of the trailer?
The game was announced in December 2013. Amy Hennig and Justin Richmond were handed the project but midway through they left it along with a couple of team members. After this, the project was handed out to The Last of Us directors, Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. Due to these conflicts, the scheduled early 2015 release has been postponed.
Uncharted 4 Gameplay
There isn’t much noticeable change in the gameplay from the previous Uncharted game. Maybe the movements have been recalibrated, and the graphics look better than ever. The game has become more stealth friendly which is probably taken from The Last of Us. Towards the end of the demo, we see a dude. It’s been discovered that it is Nate’s elder brother, voiced by Troy Baker (also returning from The Last of Us).
The game is set to release in early 2016 and is a PlayStation exclusive. You can preorder the game from Amazon right now!
